The home sits in in a picturesque mountain valley at the south end of the town of Guffey, Colorado.  The town, formerly know as Freshwater, is noted for its ponds and springs - one of which supplies water to the the house.

The half bath has a composting toilet and the sink that you see here.  It's location at the east end of the house provides a convenient alternative to walking down to the main bathroom at the home's other end.

Immediately out side of the east door sits this lovely deck overlooking a fish-filled pond below.

This view shows the home form the deck.  The panels above the windows provide solar heated hot water.  If it more heat is required the home has a traditional water heater  The home is on-grid but could easily be converted to off grid use.
